Basic Delivery Information & Fees

Most shipments scheduled for US delivery will be sent using our freight shipping company. We offer free shipping to the lower 48-states on all surfboards, SUPs and accessories.  For shipments outside the lower-48 states, please contact us for a quote.


How our Surfboards & SUPs are Packed

Shipping a surfboard can sound like risky business, but our packaging will ensure your board arrives safely at your door, with no dings, dents or cracks. Every board is hand wrapped in 5mm packing foam or bubble wrap, with extra foam blocks on the nose and tail. Thick cardboard is then taped to the rails, and the whole package goes in a double-walled cardboard box. It is the absolute best packing method we've found, and it will protect your board well during transit.  We rarely have a board get damaged during transit, but if it does happen, don't worry: every board we ship is fully insured.


What to Do When your Board Arrives

Like we menitoned above, your board is well packed and fully insured, but it is your responsibility to inspect the board BEFORE signing the delivery receipt. If you sign for the board and find damage later, the insurance we purchased will NOT cover it.

So please follow these steps to make sure we are both taken care of:

  1. In front of the driver, inspect the box and contents for any signs of damage. If possible, unpack the board to ensure it has arrived in perfect shape. If you find significant damage to the contents you have the right to refuse the shipment. Please write “Refused due to damage”. Upon our receipt of the damaged shipment, we will issue a replacement.


  2. If the damage is minor and repairable, you may choose to accept the shipment, but you must write a description of the damage on the delivery receipt. In this instance, please email photos of the damage and the shipping box to sales@soulrsurfboards.comwithin 48 hours of taking delivery. Please keep the packaging and shipping box in the event we need to ship the board back to Soulr.


  3. If the driver is unwilling or unable to wait for you to inspect the shipment in their presence, please note this on the delivery receipt “Driver would not wait for the contents to be inspected, possible concealed damage.” If there is any damage to the shipping box at all, please make note of this on the delivery receipt.


  4. If the shipment is signed for without any notation of damage to the contents or box and concealed damage is discovered after unpacking and inspecting the goods further, please email pictures of the damage within 48 hours of signing for the shipment. We will not be able to file a claim with the carrier, but we will credit up to $75 to cover the costs of any necessary repairs.
